Australian society today ( Part 1 )

One of the defining feature of Australian society today is the cultural diversity of its people and the extent to which they are united by an overriding and unifying commitment to Australia.

Another difining feature is theegalitarian nature of Australian society.This does not mean that everyone is the same or that everybody has equal wealth or property.It also means that with hard work and commitment,people without high-level connection or influential patrons can succed.

Within the framework of Australian`s law,all Australian are able to express their culture and belief and to participte freely in Australian`s national life.Australian holds firmly to the belief that no one should be disadvantaged on the basis of their country of birth,cultural heritage,language,gender,or religious belief.

In order in maintain a stable,peaceful and prosperous community,Australian in of all backgrounds are expected to uphold the shared principle and values that under pin Australian society.
